Hardware Design

Cathodic Protection Unit

Our team of electronic engineers are highly skilled in the design of electronic circuits and systems. We have developed a wide range of products for our clients, ranging from small hand held devices to multi-node networked systems.

Some examples of our design work include:
Multi-channelled data logger.
Automotive Engine Management Unit.
Industrial Power Supplies.
Personal and Commercial Alarm Systems.
Digital speech playback.
Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, Li-Ion and Li-Pol Battery management.
LED Display Signs.

We have direct design experience of the following:
Various microcontrollers from Atmel and Cypress.
Constant-current and constant-voltage power supplies.
Sensor interface and signal conditioning.
GPS for tracking/location systems.
Bluetooth for mobile phone connectivity.
GPRS, 433MHz, 868MHz and 2.4GHz for RF data transfer.
Flash and EEPROM memory for data logging applications.
USB, Ethernet, RS232, SPI, I2C, RS485 for wired data communication.
Digital audio recording and playback - eg MP3.
Switch mode power supplies. AC/DC or DC/DC.
Low power design for circuits required to run from battery.
Experience of designing for explosive and hazardous environments.

We have also successfully undertaken reverse engineering of client products.

We work closely with our regulatory compliance partner to ensure our designs meet the required regulatory approvals and certification.

All our hardware design work results in the production of schematics, Bills of Materials (BOMS) and PCB Gerber files, which are the property of our client.
